So this past weekend, I volunteer staffed at an event for WarriorSage with a course called Living From Truth. Each Living From Truth weekend has a different theme. This time around the theme was Miracle Readiness it was a neat topic. The facilitator was amazing. The participants were all willing to go deep into this work and really figure out what are the miracles they have already in their lives, and what miracles they want to have next.
I had the oportunity to share my biggest miracle that I’ve had so far in my life. And that is being alive today at 33 years of age. Here’s why….
When I was born, I was a premature baby, I was 3 months early, weighing in at 1 pound 12 ounces. My parents were given the news that I wasn’t expected to live 24hrs. This was 34 years ago, and the tools/technology that is around to day to help premature babies just wasn’t there in 1976.
But I proved all the doctors wrong, I survived and am still here to this day to blog about it. I mean, yes there were complications I had to be reminded to breathe, was given blood transfusions, had needles IV’s coming out of my head and feet. My parents weren’t really able to hold me like normal babies born, I had to live in an incubator for the first month or so. And only come out of the incubator for short periods of time.
I want to give inspiration to other families who may have premature babies who are going through the same thing my Mum and Dad went through. I am openly accepting stories from others who wish to share their families trials/triumphs. I am wishing to put together a book similar to the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Where do you see miracles in your life? Don’t be afraid to dream big! What do you want?
